Unlock Sony Xperia R1 (Plus) – When Forgot Password, PIN or Pattern Lock

We all kind of hate passwords and locking systems on our devices. Pretty much everybody will agree that the ridiculous requirements many passwords have such as special characters, capital letters and numbers kind of make passwords rather self-defeating when they become things that people don’t intrinsically remember. However, even the most easily-remembered password, pattern or other such unlocking information can easily be forgotten, forgetfulness is human nature. While passwords are important, and we should always remember to lock our devices even when in comfortable surroundings, when we forget them, these passwords and locks become our most hated enemies. Fortunately, there are some ways that can use to bypass Sony Xperia R1 (Plus) lock screen if you been unfortunate enough to forget your password.

Since passwords can’t be a thing we can do away with, and we unfortunately can’t even do away with the crazy requirements to make them secure, were going to share with you a simple guide on how to remove lock screen on Sony Xperia R1 (Plus). Before going through this guide, however, let me emphasize that it is extremely important to backup your data on a regular basis.

Sony Xperia R1 (Plus)

There are a few methods for this, at least with the Sony Xperia R1 (Plus) when forgot password, and will look at a few of them here. We are trying to avoid a factory reset here, after all.

Method 1: Removing the Lock Screen on Your Sony Xperia R1 (Plus) with an Android Device Manager

If you have linked your Google account with your device, that means that you can use the very useful find my device page, but only if that option is turned on from both sides. Through this, you can set a new lock screen and a password.

On the sidebar, click on the LOCK feature, and a window will appear. In this window, you will need to provide a new password which will be utilized to unlock your device and forward. You can also set up additional security and erasure functionality through this menu you like, but perhaps avoid messing with these until a later time!

Method 2: Bypassing Your Password on Your Sony Xperia R1 (Plus) Via Safe Mode

If you happen to have installed a third-party app on your device which sets up lock screens, then this is probably the best option for you. If you aren’t already aware, the safe mode option disables all apps that you have installed on your phone. Only the default, built-in apps will load, so if your lock screen is a third-party application, you can bypass it here and summarily remove or reset it!

Booting into safe mode isn’t even that difficult. To do so, press the power button, and then do a long tap on the power off option on your phone. You will be prompted with a message asking if you want to reboot in safe mode. And allow the phone to restart. Once booted back up, simply find the app which powers your impassable lock screen, and uninstall or wipe the information. Now you can set a new lock screen or opt to not use the software in the future.

Method 3: Bypassing the Sony Xperia R1 (Plus) Via Factory Reset

This is the entire reason why I took a moment to point out how important it is to regularly backup your device information, files and so forth. This is the last resort when neither of the previous 2 options are available, possible or for some unforeseen reason, simply wouldn’t cooperate. You don’t want to do this unless you absolutely have to, because it will completely wipe the phone to factory default, including memory contents aside from things possibly on removable SD cards.

If you have no other option, please follow the below steps to do a phone factory reset. You will have to do this in the most obtuse manner, given your lock screen is preventing you from doing it through the standard settings menus. It’s still fairly straightforward, though!

Step 1: Shut your device completely down, and then press the power and volume buttons down at the same time. Hold them until the android logo is displayed.

Step 2: When the android logo appears, release the buttons and then immediately press and hold the power button again. Do so until the android system recovery screen appears, at which point you can release all the buttons once more.

Step 3: Using the volume buttons, you can go through a simple stack menu. To select an option, simply press the power button. The particular option you are looking for in this case is the white data/factory reset option, and this option is usually towards the top of the list.

Step 4: Once this process is completed, select “reboot system now” to restart your phone. Once the phone has finished restarting, the lock screen will be disabled and your phone will be in the same exact digital condition it was when you first took it out of the box.

Method 4: Using a Passcode Remover Tool

Another option that can eliminate having to try any of these is to simply utilize our password remover tool by clicking the download button below. After installing this, simply connect your smart phone using your USB cable and follow the on-screen instructions to remove your forgotten password, PIN or pattern lock.

Step 1: Download our program, install it and then connect your device to the computer. You will be presented with 2 options; erase all data and reset to factory after unlocking password or only remove the password. I would recommend using the latter, but if you want to eliminate all of the data associated with your account and start clean, this is a quick way to achieve all of this without messing with the power button methods mentioned above.

Step 2: Our program will automatically identify your phone’s firmware version, and it will check to see if there is an updated version that allows bypassing the Sony Xperia R1 (Plus) lock screen. If presented with the option to do so, click on download firmware and then move forward from there.

Step 3: The previous step may take a while. The downloading process for this can take up to 10 minutes, and while you’re waiting, it is connecting to Sony Xperia R1 (Plus)’s database, searching for updates for your device and then verifying, downloading and installing them. This does require a small amount of patience, as these devices take longer to undergo these operations than a full-blown modern computer.

Step 4: When the downloading process is completed, click on the Unlock Screen button to remove the lock screen, PIN or pattern lock. This too will take a small amount of patience, requiring approximately 3 minutes to complete. Upon completion of this, your firmware is upgraded to the latest version, granting your phone better and more secure performance, and your impassable lock screen has been successfully removed!

Method 5: Using an Online Passcode Remover Tool

You may find yourself in a situation where you are either using a computer that doesn’t belong to you, or perhaps you just don’t want to download and install any third-party applications. You would prefer to do this without any installations or local software, and we can accommodate this. In these situations, when you want to use an online method to bypass a forgotten password, PIN or pattern lock on Sony Xperia R1 (Plus), we have a web app that works just as well as our native tool, albeit possibly slightly slower in completing the tasks.

Our online passcode remover tool will generate a secret code without needing to know the phone’s passcode, based on your serial number or IMEI information. This works with any android device.

Step 1: Visit our tools webpage. Submit your IMEI within the app and then click the CONNECT button. During this process, we add your device’s IMEI to our database for the following unlocking process.

Step 2: Select your brand, and choose from a list of devices which one matches your particular smartphone.

Step 3: If you wish to erase all of the data on your device, enable this option. Otherwise, do not enable it. We will generate the appropriate secret code that suits your choice.

Step 4: You will be provided with a downloadable secret code as well as step by step instructions on how to utilize it to unlock your phone.
